Simple Fying Wing...

Simple, Fast Built Flying Wing.

After my delta jet F106 look alike crash, I want to build other model that I can fly soon.Searching on the internet, I wan to try creating flying wing. Using this RC thing I have in hand ( coz now I’m during biz trip to korea ), I have only motor BL Emax FC 2812, 4 HXT9gr Blue servo, BL ESC HXT 20A and LoongMax 3S1P 1300mAH /20C

I found CG is around 13.5 cm from LE.

This is critical point I think for flying wing CG point.

So, let see the rest.Here is motor installation, wing and sem fuse for battery compartement.

Servo placement, RX install and antenna wire..

Pic complete plane, maiden photo etc…wait for getting picture tonight..

Wing CG Calculator

Sometimes it's need to calculate CG of wing airplane model fast and accurately. Using some calculation i found it in internet such as www.palosrc.com/CG.html , i make this tool to help find out CG point fast.

Just insert Half Span, Root Chord, Tip Chord, and Swept Distance also % of MAC Balance Point ( 10% ussually for Delta Wing ) and under 5% for others, Click and CG is calculated. just pick it out and measure on you're wing.

1st Foam Plane Pusher Trainer

F15 Foamy Scratch Built 1st Edition

Finally, i have finished my 2nd RC model airplane. For this model of plane, i choose a scale look jet model . One of the best jet fighter legend, F-15. On the black foam color, it's look like good. With yellow striping for stabilizer hinge. I built it on the weekend.
Spec for this black F-15 is :
Wing Span : 60cm
Length : 86 cm
Power Used : CDR Motor
Prop : APC 6x4
Control : 3 Ch, Speed , Elevon mixing ( Aileron and elevator Mixed on radio )
AUW : ...? i didn't know exactly , how about the weight of this war bird model.

I have choosed for elevon mixing , and not full stab flying cause , i 'm worried , i can't handle it. As ussual, beginner pilot reason.
I have tested for maiden flight this model on Sunday. Using 3S/1200mAh and 6x4 prop, its look like under powered. After hand launch for take off, its flew gently easy for control but little hard for climbing. Its not enough speed for climb. I didn't know exactly, under powered or nose heavy. I'll try to move backward on next flight. And main reason for emergency landing is, because i can't see it during flight. So, better for landing than crash.

Here is some photograph and video taken during maiden flight. I'll post report for the next flight. Hope it 'll fly better next time.

Scratch built Foamy F15 Pusher Jet

Finally, i modified my pusher foamy F15 with new CDR Motor. Previously , i have using 16 T - Wye - 0.4mm (26AWG). After , i modified to 13T-Wye-0.4mm. Other setting is same. But flight performance is very very different. 13T CDR Motor more powerfull with 6x4 APC Prop. Here is some photo of my foam warbird..F15 model.
